Meeting Seraphina and her sisters, Timotheme and Joyce, gave us a small glimpse of the big, big world that they, as 11-, 8-, and 6-year-olds, have already seen and hope for.

One might assume that a person like them doesn’t have to worry about accessing nourishment, but Suz wishes more people understood that having an advanced degree doesn’t always mean stability.

Our neighbor Karen moved to Clay County from Cincinnati, Ohio. It hasn’t always been easy, but she likes the rural community she moved to nearly a decade ago. She has worked hard her entire life, and as a 67-year-old, she still works to help support her family, including her roommate’s 6-year-old grandchild who recently became under their care.
