Volunteer Center

Volunteer at our volunteer center, located at 817 Winchester Road in Lexington, to help God’s Pantry Food Bank feed our neighbors. We have various opportunities that include sorting donations and packing food boxes. Each shift’s project depends on our current needs.

We welcome volunteers of all ages (including 10 – 15 year olds with a parent or guardian). Please contact us at volunteerservices@godspantry.org if interested in:

Fayette County Pantry Program

The Food Bank operates five pantries in Fayette County that need volunteers to help stock shelves, engage with neighbors, and register neighbors at one of our five Lexington pantries.

Locations are Central Christian Church, St. Luke Church, Lexington Public Library Northside Branch, Community Action-Cambridge Drive, and God’s Pantry Food Bank-Winchester Road. Hours vary by location. Pantry volunteers must be 18+.

CSFP Distributions

Distribute food boxes to seniors. Outdoor, physical activity (lifting 40+ lbs). You must be able to lift 40+ lbs., and work outdoors.

Monthly Locations:

Martin Luther King Jr. Park – 2nd Thursday, 9:00–10:30 AM
Southland Christian Church – 2nd Wednesday, 8:45–10:30 AM

BackPack Program

Pack non-perishable food for school children at the Volunteer Center.
