The news that November SNAP benefits will not be funded if the federal government shutdown continues is alarming. More than 600,000 Kentuckians—children, seniors, working families—depend on this lifeline to put food on the table. We are already seeing an increase in demand from federal workers experiencing uncertainty due to the shutdown
For every one meal God’s Pantry Food Bank provides, SNAP provides nine. We cannot fill this gap alone. Without significant support from donors, we cannot begin to meet the growing need. The generosity of our donors is more critical than ever. With help, we can ensure that families facing hunger have somewhere to turn during this time of crisis.
