Your support will reach neighbors in need in our local communities because God’s Pantry works with 380 food providers in 49 counties of central and eastern Kentucky. You’ll be keeping food from going to waste because we’re saving part of the millions of pounds of food that are discarded in the United States every year. You will be participating in our nation’s largest hunger relief network because God’s Pantry is a recognized affiliate of America’s Second Harvest. While we appreciate the well-intentioned efforts of persons who hold private functions to benefit the mission of God’s Pantry Food Bank, in order to protect donors and their ability to make tax-deductible gifts, we do not sanction any event which has not been brought to the attention of and received approval by a staff member located at God’s Pantry headquarters, 1685 Jaggie Fox Way, Lexington, KY 40511, 859-255-6592.

Become a Hero for the Hungry:

We want to inform you of a new, exciting program currently being launched and invite you to become a Hero for the Hungry.

This is a new monthly giving program that is beneficial to both you and God’s Pantry generating a dependable source of income to help feed hungry Kentuckians. The benefit to you is that you will receive the bi-annual newsletter, annual report, event information, and an annual charitable receipt for income tax purposes in a convenient, safe and cost-effective process. The benefit to us is that we will no longer need to send you regular requests for contributions; but rather work to further increase awareness and gain support from many who are not currently a part of our mission.

Becoming a Hero for the Hungry is easy. First choose the amount you would like to give each month and then choose the method you would like to use to make your donation – automatic funds transfer from a checking account or a debit card or credit card transaction. These transactions will be processed on the 20th day of each month. You may also increase or decrease the amount of your monthly gift or discontinue your monthly contribution at anytime. Matching Gifts – Double your dollar, double your impact …
Did you know that many companies will match your donations to charitable causes? Contact your Human Resource office and ask if you are eligible to participate in a matching gift program. Many companies will also match the gifts of retirees, spouses, surviving spouses and hours of volunteerism. If so, obtain a matching gift form through your company. Fill out the employee portion of the form completely and mail the form to God’s Pantry Food Bank.

Honor and Memorial Gifts
Whether you are a longtime supporter of God’s Pantry Food Bank or are giving for the first time, thank you for being part of the solution. Use this opportunity to give a gift to honor someone close to you for a birthday, an anniversary, a wedding, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day or other special occasions. God’s Pantry will send a card acknowledging your thoughtful donation to the person of your choice.

We also have Holiday Cards and Valentine’s Day Cards specific to the occasion.

Or you can make a donation in memory of someone special.

Kroger Bags:
All Fayette Kroger Stores stock pre-made bags of food (vegetables, fruit, meat and pasta products) valued at $5 located near the checkout lanes. Simply pick up a bag, have it scanned and drop it in the blue barrels on your way out of the store. Your charitable donation is registered on the receipt. It’s easy!

Kroger’s Bringing Hope to the Table God’s Pantry Food Bank is proud to be a recipient of Kroger’s Bringing Hope to the Table promotion. Kroger family of stores and participating manufacturers are donating up to $4 Million to God’s Pantry Food Bank and other America’s Second Harvest Network Members in communities across the country. Shop the products marked with pink tags to show your support. By supporting these products and stores you can support God’s Pantry Food Bank’s effort to end hunger in central and eastern Kentucky. We would like to thank Kroger and all the companies involved in this Bringing Hope to the Table program for their effort to fight hunger and support God’s Pantry Food Bank’s work.

Checkout Hunger:

Kroger Stores also have coupons valued at $1, $2, and $5 located at the checkout lanes. To make a donation, simply tear off a coupon and have it scanned. Your charitable donation is registered on your receipt

Food Drives
Many groups donate food on or around the holidays, but unfortunately, hunger does not take a vacation. Our Emergency Food Box Program relies on other food drives throughout the year to provide enough food for hungry Fayette County families. Last year, our six neighborhood food pantries served over 14,000 households. Every month we distribute over 50,000 pounds of donated and federally subsided food through this program
