Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

God’s Pantry Food Bank (GPFB), based in Lexington, KY seeks an energetic, engaged and visionary CEO.  Founded in 1955, the mission of GPFB is to reduce hunger in Kentucky through community cooperation, making the best possible use of all available resources. GPFB collects and distributes donated food to agencies across Central and Eastern Kentucky. GPFB works with over 390 partner agency programs, in 50 counties, to fight hunger and alleviate the symptoms that accompany it. The ideal candidate will have the following skills, experience, attributes and education:

  • Successful development/fundraising experience is required
  • Excellent writing, communication, management, and leadership skills
  • Organizational financial management, solid understanding of financials
  • Experience working with a board of directors
  • Marketing/PR experience
  • Proven track record of inspiring innovation
  • Demonstrates confidence, authority, and enthusiasm
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, integrity and compassion for those in need
  • Enjoys working with people from all walks of life and embraces diversity
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred in Business/Public Administration, Management, Social Work or related field
  • Minimum 8 years experience in senior level private or nonprofit management.
