The Information Technology (IT) Administrator participates as a key member of the Synergy Team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for technical challenges, with a commitment to high standards and quality in configured solutions.
- Coordinates and provides technical support in conjunction with Feeding America on computer/network software and hardware, phone and security systems, and software systems.
- Takes ownership of network administration, including monitoring daily activity for all critical systems and troubleshooting.
- Prepares reports using Navision Ceres, Jet Reports, and Tableau.
- Serves as backup to other roles
- Participates in the budget process and is responsible for departmental budget
- Has initiative to drive new processes that promote efficiency
Given that God’s Pantry Food Bank (GFPB) is both a crisis response and an ongoing service agency, it is necessary that staff be adaptable and creative, able to deal with rapid change and unusual demands of time and effort. It is also imperative that excellent working relationships and a positive atmosphere be maintained with not only the staff, but with donors, volunteers, clients, peers at Feeding America, and all others with whom the employee comes in contact while representing GPFB. Able to handle detail oriented work while meeting schedules and deadlines.
A Business Degree with some course study in Information Technology Systems or Technical Degree with business experience is desired. Comparable combination of education and experience may be considered. Candidate should be outgoing and enjoy interacting with people. Computer skills, working knowledge of network configuration and higher level of Excel experience essential. Concern for the issues of hunger and poverty and their solutions. Able to work with a variety of people. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Experience with Ceres, Jet Reports and/or Tableau, a plus. Attention to detail. Self-starter with ability to work independently. Involves medium lifting and ability to drive company car and cargo van.
TIME COMMITMENT: Full Time, 30-40 hours/week. Must be available evenings and weekends when needed.
