Judges for this year’s contest included representatives from iHeart Media, WKYT, WTVQ, WLEX, WDKY, local Lexington print publications, local celebrities and representatives from sponsors.

People’s Choice Winners:

Best Appetizer – Bacon in a Glass, Bluegrass Hospitality Group/OBC

Best Non-Alcoholic Beverage – Dasani Water, Coca-Cola Company

Best Side – Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese, Dad’s Favorites Cheese Spreads & Deli

Best Entrée – Creole Shrimp and Grits, Carson’s Food & Drink

Best Dessert – Nothing Bundt Cakes

Best Bourbon – Four Roses Bourbon

Best Spirit – Rose ‘Rita, Four Roses Bourbon

Best Beer – 99 Peaches but a Pit Ain’t One, Blue Stallion Brewing Co.

Best Wine – Peach Sangria, Chrisman Mill Vineyards

Best Wine – Cooper and Thief Bourbon Barrel Red Blend, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits- Constellation Brands

Proceeds from this year’s event are expected to generate enough food to help provide more than 1.1 million meals.

“This was the 37th year for this event, but my first. It was truly amazing for me to be a part of an event that brings together so many different partners for one great cause,” said Michael Halligan, Chief Executive Officer of the Food Bank. “This event is only possible because of the generous sponsors, the dedicated food and beverage partners, the committed volunteers and the wonderful attendees. It was truly a community event!”
