September is Hunger Action Month, and along with Feeding America, the nationwide network of food banks, God’s Pantry Food Bank will unite to urge supporters like you to take action in your local community. This September, join us and take action because together, we can solve hunger. Download the calendar below for suggestions of how to take an action everyday to spread awareness and join the fight!

This year, we are asking you to consider the universal feeling of an empty stomach, and how on an empty stomach, we cannot reach our full potential! We ask that you grab an empty paper plate and write a) what you can’t do on an empty stomach and b) what you can do to help end hunger.

Thursday September 8th is Hunger Action Day, turn orange by wearing orange, changing your profile pic and splashing orange everywhere to help us increase awareness for the 1 in 6 people in our area who struggle with hunger. Post this on Social Media with #HungerActionMonth and tag us at @GPFoodBank.

The goal of Hunger Action Month is to mobilize the public to act on behalf of Feeding America and our Food Bank. It is our opportunity to create a movement throughout the month of September that has a real and lasting impact on our mission to help end hunger in Central and Eastern Kentucky.
