One of the key messages in the hunger-relief arena is that the charitable sector cannot solve hunger on its own. Government funding and programs are a crucial component of the fight against hunger.
HCR 89, a concurrent resolution to establish a task force to streamline Kentucky’s nonprofit and government contracts, unanimously passed the Kentucky House and is now in the Senate. Here is the Kentucky Nonprofit Network’s one page summary of HCR89 and a copy of the Concurrent Resolution.

- Once you have your senator’s name, please call 1800-372-7181 and ask to leave a message for your senator by saying: “I’m calling to ask (senator name) to vote YES on HCR 89 and help nonprofits move forward on streamlining contracts with government.”
