Volunteer Opportunities
God’s Pantry Food Bank has opportunities for people of varying ages, abilities,
and time to give to volunteer. Consider our year-round opportunities to help
in our warehouses, office and agencies. Or pick a special event or project
to give hope with your efforts.
Check our calendar on the website for regularly scheduled Teen Volunteer
Nights as well as Family Volunteer Nights. You must register in advance by

Year-Round Volunteer Opportunities
Warehouse Volunteers
- Sort donated product into food categories
- Repackage product donated in large quantities or damaged packages
- Pack mobile pantry food boxes
To schedule a group or individual work time, call our office at 288-5324.
Warehouse volunteer hours vary: generally Monday – Friday from 8:30 a.m.
- 4:30 p.m. Groups can schedule Monday through Thursday evenings or
Saturday mornings if there are at least ten people in the group. Minimum age is 8 years old. Those
under 18 years of age must have adult supervision. Evening and weekend times fill up far in advance, so call today to schedule your group!
Office Volunteers
Central Intake Volunteer:
Needed Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – noon and 1 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
These volunteers take phone referrals from social service agencies for
emergency food assistance. They input client’s name and social security
number in the computer system and access a client’s eligibility to receive
food. Minimal typing skills, computer knowledge and data entry experience
is required.
Office Volunteer (limited):
Office volunteers work in our office (Monday thru Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.) in the following areas:
Preparing mailings (including collating, folding, sorting zip codes and
labeling)
Phone work (setting up food drives with organizations that have previously
donated)
General filing and other miscellaneous office work.
Data entry for special events (Sharing Thanksgiving)

Kids Cafe
Kids Cafe is a program that provides children at risk of
hunger a nutritious evening meal in a safe location. Kids Cafes need:
Sites – a location in a neighborhood where children can walk to
the site and has a kitchen facility that can be health department
approved.
Volunteers to cook, coordinate homework help or other activities, and
visit with children.
