SEPTEMBER IS HUNGER ACTION MONTH
This September, God’s Pantry Food Bank and Feeding America unite to urge supporters like you to take action in your local community because, together, we can solve hunger.
Consider the feeling of an empty stomach, and how with an empty stomach none of us can reach our full potential. Grab an empty paper plate and write down a) things you can’t do on an empty stomach and b) things you can do to help end hunger.
Thursday, September 14, is Hunger Action Day, and we want to turn our community orange! Wear orange. Use our Hunger Action Month profile pic frame on Facebook. Splash orange everywhere to increase awareness for the 1 in 6 people in our area who struggle with hunger. Share your photos and stories on social media with #HungerActionMonth and tag us at @GPFoodBank.
Check here for daily actions that you can take to combat hunger in our community.
